Robert Crais is getting rave reviews for his new thriller Suspect. In a departure from his popular Elvis Cole series, Crais introduces Maggie, a wounded German Shepard returning from three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and struggling to make it in the LAPD’s K-9 unit. Maggie is teamed up with officer Scott James, struggling to recover from the physical and emotional injuries he sustianed stateside when he was shot working a case and his partner was killed. Maggie joins the ranks of other revered vets on the mystery/suspense scene.
